What began as a\n      small effort by members of Village Presbyterian Church\n      to keep non-perishable food available for neighbors in need grew into the\n      Community Food Pantry serving families throughout the area.\n     \n\n      Today\, volunteers remain an essential part of the pantry’s ability to\n      serve our community.\n     \n\n      During our volunteer morning\, Penn State Tampa Bay volunteers may assist\n      with activities such as packing groceries\, sorting donations\,\n      stocking and organizing food\, preparing items for distribution and\n      supporting other pantry needs as directed by the pantry team.\n     \n \n   \n \n\n      🥫 October = Penn State Food Drive Month\n    \n\n      Bring a donation. Watch the Nittany Lions. Help a neighbor.\n    \n\n      Our October 24 volunteer morning is only one part of our fall service effort.\n      This year\, we’re getting the entire Penn State Tampa Bay community involved.\n     \n\n      During every Penn State Tampa Bay football watch party in October\,\n      we’re asking Penn Staters to bring unopened\, unexpired\,\n      non-perishable food donations to our chapter watch party locations.\n     \n     \n \n\n        Great items to donate include:\n      \n\n        ✓ Canned meats and tuna\n        ✓ Peanut butter\n        ✓ Canned fruits and vegetables\n        ✓ Pasta and rice\n        ✓ Dried beans\n        ✓ Cereal\n        ✓ Tomato products\n        ✓ Boxed or packaged pantry staples\n        ✓ Other unopened\, unexpired non-perishable foods\n      \n \n\n      We’ll collect donations throughout October and combine everything contributed\n      by our chapter community for a big Penn State Tampa Bay donation\n      to the Community Food Pantry at the beginning of November.\n     \n\n      One can. One box.
