Chapter Awards Five $1,000 Scholarships to Tampa-Area Penn Staters

Each year, through the generosity of our alumni and friends — and with proceeds from our game-watch raffles and other fundraisers — the Tampa Bay Chapter proudly awards financial scholarships to local students attending Penn State.
This year, from 99 eligible Tampa-area students, we received 21 applications — the largest number in chapter history. From that group, our scholarship committee selected five outstanding recipients, each receiving a $1,000 award to support their Penn State journey.
Below are excerpts from the thank-you notes our recipients shared with us:
Sophia Wyant, Freshman: “Please relay my sincere gratitude to all the local Tampa alumni for providing this generous support.”
Anaja Jackson, Junior: “This scholarship represents something deeply meaningful to me — a vote of confidence in my potential and my future.”
Morgan Shupsky, Dickinson Law: “I have already found the Penn State community to be so supportive and dynamic, and I am thankful that that holds true in Tampa.”
Natale Hall, Graduate Student: “I’m deeply grateful for your commitment to supporting students like me, and I will proudly represent Penn State and the Tampa community.”
Logan Wincott, Penn State Law: “Thank you to the entire Penn State Tampa Chapter for this wonderful scholarship. It truly means a lot.”
These heartfelt words remind us why our chapter’s scholarship program exists — to help talented Tampa Bay students pursue their Penn State dreams and stay connected to the Nittany Lion family.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, our Penn State students, and our entire chapter community, thank you for continuing to support this meaningful tradition.
